We spent a lovely trip in Romania seeing different aspect of this beautiful country. A special thank for this great experience goes to our tour guide Dumitru who was very knowledgeable, passionate about his country and culture. We enjoyed our trip as well as getting in touch with the local people, culture and customs. He treated us like a family,we highly recommend and we are looking forward to revisit this beautiful country.

Our tour with Dumitru was definitely the highlight of our weekend trip to Sibiu. We were taken around the city and learned the history which was absolutely fascinating, we had a very pleasant walk inside the Astra ethnographic museum - simply amazing - and by car to the beautiful villages around Sibiu. If you are planning a trip to Sibiu, we definitely recommend any tour with Dumitru as a guide. We would not have seen all these interesting things on our own in only 8h. Dumitru not only has knowledge about the city, he has knowledge about the Romanian identity, history and culture and he is one of the friendliest people you will ever meet. We really appreciated his ability to adapt to our requirements and tailor the tours to our needs, and especially the quality time spent together. Thank you, Dumitru! Dumitru was fantastic and met our every need and more. We ended up going to Alba Iulia to see the Citadel and on the way Dumitru asked about our trip and gave us suggestions on what to see and the best way to spend our time touring. He also gave us some of the region's history and explained why and how the country and region was set up and settled. He walked us around the Citadel and explained and discussed everything we saw. Dumitru answered every question we asked with the experience of only a seasoned guide or local could do which he is both. This was our first trip to Romania so IMHO we couldn't have been in better hands. Corvin Castle was our next stop and Dumitru took us on a private tour of the grounds without missing a beat. Far better than the audio tour we would have been stuck using without him. I'm not going over our entire day but let's just say we received more insight into Romania than we did in the previous week of our tour. And yes we had another guide in Sighisoara not half as good as Dumitru. If you are in the Sibiu region (f course Dumitru can taylor your needs wherever you are) don't hesitate to use him as a guide. Highest marks and one more thing, he offered to help us with the rest of our trip on his own time. He dropped us off at our hotel and before he left asked if we needed anything or if we had any other questions about our journey. Very rare to find a guide looking out for you the way Dumitru does. The absolute best guide we've had and please don't hesitate to contact me with questions about our tour.

I would just like to let you know that our tour today was amazing not just due to the beautiful scenery but our guide, Dumitru, was superb! First his English is perfect. Secondly, he knew so much history that I had a much clearer understanding of my family history from Romania when our day was done. His knowledge and eagerness to share it is exceptional. He made several inquiries to us as to what we wanted to see and where to stop. We had a wonderful lunch relaxing in Braşov just sharing food and talking. He really knows how to be with tourists and how to make a tour not only very informative but a lot of fun (he is very funny too).

We started in the morning from Sibiu to Bran Castle, the Dracula's kingdom, and visited then a very amazing church-fortress (Harman Church) and finished in Brasov, another typical transsylvanian city (as Sibiu). Dumitru is not a “guide” as expected. His knowledge of Transylvania and Romania is extensive but not limited to the general tourist info. As an Economics lecturer at Sibiu’s most prestigious university, he knows everything from Romanian history and politics to regional music and cuisine. His sense of humour and appreciation of other cultures also makes him someone you enjoy travelling with. We were on the road with him for one week and honestly could not find any fault. In fact, we wouldn’t have managed to see so many places from Sibiu and Sighișoara where he showed us around like a local to little-visited Hungarian, ex-Armenian and ex-Saxon communities of Sic, Gherla and Saschiz. Dumitru is flexible to his clients’ schedule and preference and everyday helps set the tailor-made itinerary: what to skip, what else to see, where to eat, where to take extra photos, etc. So whatever your needs are, he will take care of them and, as all four of us did, you will enjoy not just experiencing his beautiful land but also getting to know him as well.

I cannot recommend going on this tour experience enough. Dumitru (our guide) was very knowledgeable and had a unique way of explaining the history of Sibiu especially and Transylvania in general. I stayed in Sibiu on 10/10/15 whilst attending a conference and there was light rain during the day. However, Dumitru did not cut any corners with the trip and gave us a full, pleasurable and enjoyable day trip. When in Transylvania, I would advise anyone and everyone top contact Dumitru to get a better understanding of Romania and the cultural aspects of the Romanian people.

It was so sweet and unexpected when after a long day trip, in the evening, you offered us as an "extra bonus" to show us the open air museum in Sibiu on the next morning, using just a few free hours before our departure to Brasov. And afterwards you gave us a lift to the railway station and helped to get into the train, assisting us to the very "bitter end".
